Make Easy Pumpkin Pie Spice Coffee at Home

October 25, 2014

Every morning Little Dude and I get up before the rest of the family. I guess he just likes his daddy time. One of the first things we do each morning is make the coffee.

This time of year, there’s nothing better than a hot cup of pumpkin pie spiced coffee. I’m always tempted to stop by the big green coffee shop and get a pumpkin late or something of the like. A couple times a year I’ll splurge on the $6 drink. The thing is, every time I do, I think to myself, I could make one of these just as good for about 13 cents at home.

Since I love fall flavored coffee so much, we make it year round. Here’s a quick video showing you the easy way to make a good cup of pumpkin pie spiced coffee.

New Roof for the Future Homestead!

October 7, 2014

I thought i would post a quick video showing the work we did this past weekend.

We’ve started the process of putting a new roof on our mobile home that will be our future homestead.

The original roof was completely trashed due to hail damage and the vents being useless.

We were able to get felt over the entire roof and shingles on a little over 1/4 of it. Not to bad for just two of us working and neither being professional roofers.

I’ll post another video once we’ve made more progress. Don’t forget to subscribe so you’ll be notified when new posts come out.

Experimental Mini Hand Dug Swale

September 18, 2014

Early this year I started building an experimental mini hand dug swale. Any East Texas gardener will tell you that you can’t make it through the summer without irrigation so I set out to put that statement to the test.

Here’s a video series on my experimental mini hand dug swale.

The video above shows the comfrey plants and root cuttings coming up after being in the ground for about two weeks. If you’re thinking to yourself, what is comfrey, click this link and learn all about comfrey and it’s amazing benefits.
