Why These Adapter Cables Are on the Homestead

If you are running EG4 WallMount batteries with an EG4 ChargeVerter, you need the right cables to connect them. The EG4 ChargeVerter Adapter Cables are built specifically for this. They connect the ChargeVerter-GC to 280Ah WallMount batteries, installing onto the battery internal bus bar with enough length to reach diagonally across the battery bank.

What Does the ChargeVerter Do?

The EG4 ChargeVerter is a dedicated DC charger that takes AC input (from the grid or a generator) and charges your 48V battery bank directly. It bypasses the inverter’s built-in charger for faster, more efficient charging. The adapter cables are the link between the ChargeVerter and the battery terminals.

How I Use Them on My System

Installation Tips

• Connect to the internal bus bar: These cables are designed to land on the battery’s internal bus bar, not the external terminals. Follow the EG4 documentation for the correct connection point.
• Route diagonally if needed: The cable length is designed to reach across the battery bank. Do not pull tight or bend sharply.
• Torque to EG4 spec: EG4 connections need 60 in-lb of torque. Use a calibrated torque wrench.
• Check polarity: Verify positive-to-positive and negative-to-negative before energizing.
